I don't paint to make a statement but to create a feeling. I paint imaginary places and images. I think we all need to create. Take something and make it into something else... to combine, to rearrange, to organize and then... step back and say.... I like that.
I take lots of photos and use them as a starting point, and then let the painting take me on a journey. The process facinates me. I'm not sure how it works. If I think about it to much, it's forced and it doesn't happen. If I just let it flow, it's magical. I paint for the process, for the journey and the places it takes me. I hope my art inspires you to create and starts you on your own journey. But mostly, I hope you enjoy it.
